Are You watching the tour?
You should be. I know that dude from Austin has retired and now he chases movie stars like they had the last melo johhny, but there are new American riders and teams to cheer for. Columbia clothing sponsors a team and they are doing very well. I hope that old lady on the commercials( Is her name really Boyle?) is not their GC pick though, I don’t think she climbs very well. Garmin-Chipotle is the other American team. So, you can use a Garmin GPS to find mediocre fast-mex, whatever. I still hope they do well.

Cavendish isn’t American but he is on an American team so it’s ok. He’s British so we are sorta like cousins anyway.
Here he does his best Thor or Zeus impersenation or is it that sprinkler dance. Maybe he is thinking about punching Bob Roll in his smart little mouth. “Shut your mouth when your talking to me Bob”.
Oh, its the imaginary bow and arrow. Slings and arrows and whatever the rest of that Shakespeare quote is.
I, for one, have been under an intense training regiment to get ready for the tour. No, of course I am not riding but watching Versus for four hours a day for twenty something days takes some serious stamina. At least I can throw things at the tele when Bob Roll says something funny. To prepare for my burly bicycle binge I have been consuming large amounts of red meat from Otto’s Bar-b-Que. You may have heard they were closing but upon hearing of my training needs they agreed to stay open until my bowels spewed forth all of my caloric needs upon the graffiti riddled tarmac I call my couch.
By the way, something other than the tour happens this time of year that gets crusty bike shop employees excited, shiny new bike parts. Thats right, new bikes and parts start to show up as the great Gods of product we call bicycle companies cast forth manna from heaven, or in this case China. We get to see all of the new bikes and products as we are inundated with dead trees covered in glossy pictures of products we must have, right now.
So, if you are like us, stop by and ask to peek at some of the new catalogs the nice man in the blue jumper dropped off.
